Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb Shortening
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 1/4 Cups brown sugar
  • 2 Cups pecans (cut up)
  • 3 eggs (beat separate)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
  • 1 tsp "ADAMS BEST" VANILLA
  • 1/2 ounce ADAMS LEMON EXTRACT
Directions:
Whip egg whites to hold a peak. Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquids. Add Lemon Flavor; then fold in egg whites. Cook at 300 degrees in stem pan about one hour and forty minutes. Do not cook too dry.
